So…first sub didn’t work out. Not sure how I should take the quick turn around, but I’m going to go with slow period rather than alternatives 😉
Feel a bit disappointed, but this just means taking the opportunity to look over my piece again and submitting it somewhere new! And I’ve got a couple places in mind for my next attempts.
So it’s all good in the long run.
It’s my little boy’s birthday tomorrow (he’s 2!!!!!), so I’ve been busy this week getting ready for the little party we’re going to have tomorrow and all the family that’s coming in.
So you’re getting this a little early 🙂 And no, this isn’t on a playlist, but hey, it’s his birthday tomorrow so a Merry Unbirthday to everyone else!

So about a month ago, there was an article that got a lot of attention from writers and comic book lovers about a girl who wanted certain graphic novels removed from the college course she was taking. I don’t want to get into the specifics because they aren’t particularly important for this blog; what is important is that it reminded me of one graphic novel which I have been neglecting.

I just took a big step in my road to being a formal author. I’ve been writing for years now (I still have fanfic profiles set up), but I haven’t made the formal jump towards being published.
That changed just now.
So here’s hoping the response comes back positive, but in any case, here’s to the start of a new journey.
Why write superheroes? Current story trends have given us a market saturated with movies which show superheroes at their finest and wittiest, at their lowest, but also at their tropiest. So what more can be done?
Find the right questions and a whole world opens up with them.
